Leicester Cathedral hosts rugby media event

Leicester Cathedral is the special venue for a press conference on Thursday, April 16 to launch a new tournament for the start of the 2015/16 season featuring teams from Leicester Tigers, Sale Sharks and Newcastle Falcons.

Putting Leicester in the national spotlight as the final resting place of King Richard III, the city's cathedral will welcome the directors of rugby from each of the three clubs as well as invited guests and rugby supporters.
 
The new tournament will run during September 2015 at the clubs' respective home grounds ahead of kick-off in the new Aviva Premiership Rugby season.
 
The media launch is on the afternoon of Thursday, April 16 with invited guests and media, a top-table question-and-answer session with the directors of rugby and opportunities for media interviews and photos.

Venue: Leicester Cathedral, Peacock Lane, Leicester LE1 5DE
Date & time: Thursday, April 16, 2.30-4.30pm
Car parking is available in Leicester city centre. We suggest the NCP car park at the Holiday Inn (St Nicholas Circle, Leicester LE1 5LX) or the Highcross Shopping Centre.

Directors of rugby Richard Cockerill (Leicester Tigers), Dean Richards (Newcastle Falcons) and Steve Diamond (Sale Sharks) will be available for interview and photos. There is also be an opportunity to talk to Tigers prop Marcos Ayerza about the fixture between Leicester Tigers and Los Pumas in the build-up to the 2015/16 season and the Rugby World Cup in England this autumn.
