The 25 year-old French Sevens and ex Under-21 winger has been on trial with the club during pre-season, scoring twice in the Bath United friendly against Newbury. A regular on the international sevens circuit for the last five years, Boussuge will be joining Bath from Top 14 side Montpellier.

Bath Rugby Chief Executive, Nick Blofeld, said "Jacques has accepted a contract and will be back in Bath in the next few days. The coaching team believe they can make him into an even better player and build on his existing skills. He's certainly got plenty of pace, and that's something you can't coach."

Blofeld said the club had also been won over by Boussuge's positive and determined attitude. "Attitude goes a long way, and Jacques is massively enthusiastic about playing for Bath."

Head Coach, Steve Meehan, added "Jacques has been really solid at training and in the matches and has got some good experience behind him. We feel that with a little more time here he can develop his game further in a short period of time. He has a great attitude, and we think he is going to fit in really well with the squad and our ambitions for the future."
