Worcester Warriors open European campaign with trip to Russia

Worcester Warriors will open their 2016/17 European Challenge Cup campaign with a trip to Russia to face Enisei-STM on Saturday 15 October.

The match, which will either take place in Sochi or Krasnodar, will see the Sixways side travel to Russia for the first time in their history.

Warriors will then face CA Brive at Sixways on Saturday 22 October in their first European Challenge Cup game on their new Artificial Grass Pitch.

The European Challenge Cup returns in December as Warriors face back to back clashes with Newport Gwent Dragons before Christmas.

The PRO 12 side will come to Sixways on Saturday 10 December before the return fixture at Rodney Parade Stadium on Friday 16 December.

The pool stages of the competition will conclude in January as Warriors play Brive in France on January 12/13/14/15 before hosting Enisei a week later.

Warriors Chief Executive Jim O'Toole said: "We are excited to be opening our European campaign with a trip to Russia and have been advised by the organising committee that the exact venue will be confirmed early next week.

"I'm sure our supporters will understand the challenge EPCR face in ensuring venues and fixture dates work for all involved clubs."

Supporters can watch all three home pool matches of the European Challenge Cup this season when they sign-up for a Season Ticket.

Adult Season Tickets start from just £275 and are available by clicking here, visiting the Warriors Ticket Office or calling 01905 459309.
