South African lock Wilhelm van der Sluys has joined Warriors on trial.
The 25-year-old (pictured furthest left), who came through the Western Province youth system and went on to make 25 appearances for the Cape Town-based side, joins up with the team immediately to provide extra competition in the second row.
Alongside a host of future Springboks including Eben Etzebeth, Siya Kolisi and Frans Malherbe, he was part of the Western Province team that won the Under 19 Currie Cup 2010 Championship.
After being involved with both the Western Province Under 21s and the South Africa Under 20 Touring Squad to Argentina in 2011, Van der Sluys was part of the Western Province Vodacom Cup team which beat the Griquas to win the competition in 2012.
He was subsequently named captain of their Under 21s before earning selection for the seniors and also featured against Pumas in the 2015 Vodacom Cup final.
