Tom Arscott Signs A New Deal With Sharks

Sale Sharks have secured another key contract renewal with confirmation that winger Tom Arscott has penned a new two year deal with the club.

The winger has become the seventh member of Steve Diamond's squad to extend his stay with the Sharks and several more renewals are in the pipeline.

Arscott, 27, joined Sale from London Welsh in the summer of 2013 and has gone on to establish himself as a key member of Diamond's first team squad.

He was in blistering form earlier this season, scoring five tries in as many Premiership games before suffering a hamstring injury.

However, Diamond was delighted to secure another key signature to boost his long-term planning and he insisted that Arscott's best is yet to come.

"Tom has been playing really well and scoring lots of tries," said Diamond.

"He's a great lad and he's young and his best rugby is still to come.

"He likes the environment here and he's really settled in the area and I think that there's a lot more to come from Tom over the next few years. So we're delighted he has agreed to stay with us."
