The Singha Premiership Rugby 7s reaches its climax on Sunday with every minute live on BT Sport.
Kicking off at 2pm, and including the Women’s Premiership 7s Final for the first time, the Singha Premiership Rugby 7s Final will deliver a high-octane afternoon of fantastic Rugby 7s from the Ricoh Arena, with coverage starting on BT Sport Europe at 1.30pm.
Group 4 winners Newcastle Falcons are the only side left in this year’s competition who could win the Singha 7s for the second time, with previous winners Saracens, Gloucester Rugby and defending champions Newport Gwent Dragons all out of the competition.
So a new name could be inscribed on the Singha 7s Trophy come Sunday evening, with Wasps set to field another star-studded side in front of their home crowd, and Exeter Chiefs, Harlequins and Cardiff Blues all boasting perfect records in the competition so far.
Sale Sharks could be dark horses at the Ricoh Arena, with the likes of Paolo Odogwu – who broke Christian Wade’s try-scoring record in the group stages with eight remarkable scores – playing, anything is possible.
Ospreys will be making their first appearance at the Singha 7s Finals, while Northampton Saints complete the finals day line-up for the third time.
This is already set up to be a historic Singha 7s with a record 169 tries scored in the group stages, compared to 163 in 2015 and 152 in 2014.
The identity of the two sides in the Women’s Premiership 7s Final which will kick off at 5.20pm at the Ricoh will be decided on Sunday at Broadstreet Rugby Club.
And should you miss out on the action on BT Sport Europe, ITV’s highlights programme – hosted by Gethin Jones – will be on air on Sunday at 11.15pm (ITV), Monday at 7pm (ITV4), and Tuesday at 12.50am (ITV4), so you don’t have to miss out on any of the lightning-fast runs, inch-perfect offloads, and crunching tackles in store.
Programme starts at 1.30pm BT Sport Europe
