Scarlets’ Anglo-Welsh Cup fixtures confirmed

Scarlets’ 2016-17 Anglo-Welsh Cup campaign will get underway on Friday 11 November at Parc y Scarlets against Bath Rugby, kick-off 7.05pm.

Scarlets will kick-off a thrilling weekend of Welsh sport as they welcome Bath to Parc y Scarlets for the opening round of the Anglo-Welsh Cup campaign, before the nation descends on the capital on Saturday 12 November for a feast of rugby and football as Welsh Rugby Union take on Argentina, at the Principality Stadium (5.30pm), and FA Wales welcome Serbia to Cardiff City Stadium (7.45pm).

After a season long break the Anglo-Welsh competition makes a return this year with the Scarlets along with the other three regions taking on the 12 Aviva Premiership Rugby clubs in a 16-team tournament.

Scarlets will take on Newport Gwent Dragons, Bath Rugby, Saracens and Northampton Saints in the cross-border competition.

Tickets for Scarlets’ home Anglo-Welsh Cup clashes, against Bath Rugby and Saracens, are priced at only £10 for adults, £1 for 6-16 year olds and free for all children aged 5 and under.

Entry is free for all Season Ticket Holders but seats will be unreserved in the Castell Howell South Stand.

A rugby festival, held in conjunction with the Urdd, will be held in the BT Sport Arena pre-match. Food and drinks outlets, as well as entertainment and activities for all the family will be in the West Stand two hours before kick-off.

The GUINNESS PRO12 Bar and Heart & Soul Bar will be open to the public from 5pm with Castell Howell South Stand turnstiles open from 5.30pm.

Along with the Regional Premiership Select sides competing in the British & Irish Cup the Anglo-Welsh Cup will provide an opportunity for the Scarlets to blood the next generation and allow younger squad members an opportunity to experience regional rugby.

The winner from each pool will progress to the semi-finals on 11 March with the final to be held a week later on 18 March.
