Saracens’ Alex Sanderson encourages fans to Move Like A Pro

MLAP-0403

Saracens’ forwards coach Alex Sanderson is certain Premiership Rugby’s ‘Move Like a Pro’ initiative is going to help men all over the country get fitter.

He spends his days at Allianz Park whipping the Sarries' packs into shape, but now he is turning his attention to every rugby fan in the country as part of Premiership Rugby’s new free 12-week physical activity programme.

Kicking off in April, Bath Rugby, Newcastle Falcons, Northampton Saints, Saracens and Wasps will be running ‘Move Like a Pro’ as an online course, but also giving fans the chance to train at their local clubs in sessions run by clubs’ own training staff.

If you’re a Saracens fan, then Sanderson could be your man, as he’s been taking a break from marshalling the ‘Wolfpack’ to film footage for the online course.

And the former England back-rower cannot wait to help Premiership Rugby’s loyal fans get fitter, healthier and improve their state of mind.

“It’s been great participating in the filming for this state of the art online program and I’m proud to get behind it.

“Rolling out the direct delivery to our fans is something I’m definitely encouraging and I’m calling on fans to get signed up. I’m positive Move Like A Pro will enable men to get fitter and look after their health.”

All rugby fans can sign up to this unique opportunity at www.MOVELikeAPro.co.uk, Saracens fans can access a 12 week direct delivery programme designed for them by Pro trainers and nutritionists that will guide them towards better health and wellbeing.

Sarah Coghlan, County Director UK at Movember Foundation, says this is just the beginning of a flourishing partnership with Premiership Rugby.

“Premiership Rugby and the Movember Foundation have a longstanding history; players and fans bring so much energy to the sport, and they have also embraced Movember with a similar passion.

"The rugby community has raised masses of funds and awareness for men’s health over the years, and we look forward to them enjoying and benefitting from this exciting new programme” she said.

“Together we want to get rugby fans moving and affect positive change on the health of rugby fans to inspire a legacy of long-term change across the rugby fan community.”

Move Like A Pro is a partnership between Premiership Rugby and the Movember Foundation to inspire a legacy of long-term lifestyle change across the rugby fan community. Directly linked to the Movember Foundation’s vision of creating a world where men live happier, healthier and longer lives, Move Like A Pro starts with simply… moving.
