Saints announce Sevens squad for Friday night Franklin’s Gardens action

TomCollins7s

The Northampton Saints squad has been announced for Friday night’s leg of the Singha Premiership Rugby Sevens Series, being played at Franklin’s Gardens.

The squad is largely similar to that which won the Plate at May’s Bury St Edmunds Sevens, and as in previous years – when players like Teimana Harrison and Harry Mallinder came to the fore – youth has been given its opportunity to shine.

Familiar names include Tom Collins, Howard Packman, Sam Olver, Lewis Ludlam and Sion Bennett, while new Senior Academy signings James Grayson, Tom Emery and Alex Rayment will get their first outing at the Gardens since signing full-time contracts.

Scotland Under-18 Junior Saints Academy back Fraser Strachan has also been included in the 12-man squad.

The Saints will take on Harlequins, Saracens and Gloucester in an evening that will be packed full of action and entertainment. Tickets start at just £6, so head to www.tinyurl.com/SaintsSevensHeaven to book yours now, using Print@Home to beat the match day queues and save the admin fees!
