Ross Chisholm and Charlie Mulchrone commit to Harlequins

Harlequins is excited to confirm today (Wednesday 26th April) that Ross Chisholm and Charlie Mulchrone have re-signed for the Club.

Confirming the news, Harlequins Director of Rugby, John Kingston said: “It is great news that both Charlie and Ross have agreed to extend their time at Harlequins.

“Ross has been at the Club since he was a boy and has always given his very best.

“Charlie, by contrast, has only been here since last summer but in his time, I have been hugely impressed with him when opportunities have presented themselves.

“As importantly, they both complement the environment I am seeking to create within the Club. They are both real team players who have a significant positive influence on others around them.”

Ross Chisholm, older brother of squad member James, is an electric and versatile back three player who has made close to 80 appearances for the Club since his debut in 2009. The 26 year-old has scored 17 tries.

Beginning his playing career at Haywards Heath, the Academy graduate is a player ambassador for The Harlequins Foundation’s flagship campaign, METTLE.

“I am really happy to have re-signed for Harlequins, a club that I have only ever known” Chisholm said. “John Kingston has a really exciting vision and the potential of this squad is very promising.”

Mulchrone joined Harlequins ahead of the current season from Worcester Warriors and has made 15 appearances for the Club since his debut against Wasps.

The Manchester-born British and Irish Cup winner, brother of London Irish centre Fergus, previously captained RFU Championship side Rotherham Titans, a side which he made 52 appearances for before joining Worcester Warriors.

A threat from all over the park, Mulchrone’s skill set and attacking capabilities complement Harlequins’ style of play.

“I’m over the moon to have re-signed,” Mulchrone added. “It was an incredibly easy decision for me to make as I have loved my first year at Harlequins working under John Kingston, and with Danny [Care] and Karl [Dickson]. I love this club and I am excited to be part of this group going forward.“
