The charge against Will Chudley of Exeter Chiefs for kicking, contrary to law 10.4(c), was heard last night in Bristol.
Chudley was cited following the weekend’s Aviva Premiership semi-final between Exeter and Wasps for allegedly kicking Joe Launchbury.
The panel concluded that the contact to Launchbury was caused as a result of Chudley’s knee being deflected off the thigh of Matt Mullan. It was therefore deemed not reckless and the charge was dismissed.
The panel comprised: John Doubleday, Nick Dark and Daniel White (chairman).
