Referee appointments: Pearce and Jones in for Anglo-Welsh Cup semi-finals

The Anglo-Welsh Cup returns this weekend with huge stakes as Saracens, Leicester Tigers, Exeter Chiefs and Harlequins all prepare for their respective semi-finals.

Referee Luke Pearce will be in charge as the Tigers travel to Allianz Park for a rematch with Saracens, who they lost to 29-20 earlier in the competition.

Pearce will have Greg Garner and Jonathan Healy as his assistants for the Anglo-Welsh Cup semi-final on Saturday which is broadcast live on BT Sport.

Keith Lewis will be the TMO while Budge Pountney will be the citing commissioner at the game as the two teams battle it out for a spot in the final at Twickenham Stoop on March 19.

In the second semi-final, the WRU’s Dan Jones will be taking the whistle as Harlequins meet Exeter Chiefs for a re-run of their Anglo-Welsh Cup Round 1 clash.

Quins were 29-15 victors on that day at the Twickenham Stoop but if they want to appear in a home final, they must earn victory down at Sandy Park in Sunday’s head-to-head.

Jones will be assisted by fellow WRU officials Simon Rees and Gareth Newman, with Paul Adams taking on the TMO role.

And Steve Savage will be keeping a close eye on things as the citing commissioner for the semi-final.

Tickets for the Anglo-Welsh Cup Final at the Twickenham Stoop on Sunday 19 March are now on sale. Click here to buy yours.
