Record Anglo-Welsh Cup ticket sale at Franklin’s Gardens

Record Anglo-Welsh Cup ticket sale at Franklin’s Gardens

More tickets have been sold for Northampton Saints’ Anglo-Welsh Cup clash with Gloucester (KO 3pm) than ever before at Franklin’s Gardens.

The expansion of Franklin’s Gardens a year ago increased the stadium’s capacity by around 20 percent, and with two days to go until the Saints host the Cherry and Whites more tickets have been sold than could have been accommodated before the building of the Barwell Stand.

The Saints and Gloucester have a long history of cup clashes, meeting in the old knockout cup final in 2003, the Anglo-Welsh Cup final in 2010, and several clashes in pool stages, too.

This weekend sees both teams leading their respective pools, the Saints topping Pool 1 after winning away at Newcastle and Gloucester atop Pool 4 following their own memorable comeback success against Saracens.

So be a part of history and make your voice count by booking tickets at www.tinyurl.com/SAI-GLo-AW1617 and use Print@Home to save the admin fees and beat the match day queues.

Saturday also includes an Under-9 tournament on the training pitches earlier in the afternoon, the Saints’ annual Remembrance Ceremony before kick off, half-time competitions on the pitch and live music in the Rodber Suite after the game.

England’s clash with South Africa will be shown live in the bars from 2:30pm, with Wales versus Argentina from 5:30pm.
