Premiership Rugby clubs in live TV European action

European action returns tonight when Harlequins host Montpellier live on Sky Sports and beIN Sports (outside UK and Ireland) as they kick-off the European Rugby Challenge Cup at 7.45pm. Harlequins are the first of nine Premiership Rugby sides live on TV this weekend.

This will be the third time the clubs have met in the competition with Harlequins – tournament champions in 2001, 2004 and 2011 – winning both of their previous Challenge Cup matches against Montpellier in 2006-07.

Montpellier have won their last six matches against English opposition in the Challenge Cup.

Leicester Tigers are the first Premiership Rugby team into European Rugby Champions Cup action as they face Stade Francais Paris on Friday night live on BT Sport and beIN Sports at 7.45pm.

There have been four wins each between these sides with Leicester Tigers coming out on top in the last two meetings.

Tigers have lost one of their last 28 home games in European competition with a won 25, drawn 2 record and a loss for Stade Français would be their third in succession, equalling their longest run of defeats in the Champions Cup.

Stade Français' last four games against English opposition have all being settled by five points or less.

The live TV action ends on Sunday night when Exeter Chiefs visit the Liberty Stadium to take on Ospreys at 5.30pm live on Sky Sports.
