Northampton Saints team named to play Bath

The Northampton Saints team has been named for the 2016/17 Aviva Premiership opener against Bath.

Louis Picamoles will make his first competitive start for his new club in the game, which kicks off at Franklin’s Gardens at 3:30pm. Fellow new signings Nic Groom and Charlie Clare could also see their first action in black, green and gold after having been named on the replacements’ bench, where they are joined by George North.

Saturday’s game is not being televised live, so the only way to see the action as it happens is right here at Franklin’s Gardens. Tickets remain available at www.tinyurl.com/SAI-BAT-1617 and by using Print@Home supporters can save themselves the admin fees and beat the match day collection queues.

There have been a number of changes to match days at Franklin’s Gardens; more information is available on the Saints’ website, www.northamptonsaints.co.uk

George Pisi previews the action in this week’s official Saints podcast, which also includes interviews with new club captain Tom Wood and nutritionist Emma Gardner, who talks about her experience as part of the Team GB support staff at the recent Rio Olympics.
