Northampton Saints Anglo-Welsh Cup team news versus Gloucester

Jamie Elliott

The Northampton Saints team has been announced for the Anglo-Welsh Cup Round 2 home clash with Gloucester.

Two players are set for their first starts of the season, with Jamie Elliott stepping up from the bench to the right wing and James Craig coming into the second row. A third injury returnee, flanker Ben Nutley, has been named on the bench.

Sam Dickinson has been handed the captain’s armband for the visit of the Cherry and Whites.

A record number of tickets have been sold for an Anglo-Welsh Cup clash at Franklin’s Gardens. But plenty remain available and they can be snapped up at www.northamptonsaints.co.uk/buytickets, using Print@Home to save the admin fees.

Tomorrow’s game will be preceded by the Saints’ annual Remembrance Ceremony, so all supporters are asked to be in their seat or terrace space well before 3pm.

Fly half Sam Olver previews the game in this week’s The Saints TV Show, which also features an extended interview with Northampton’s Dave Rogers, who is Getty Images’ main rugby photographer, and highlights and full reaction from the Round 1 win at Newcastle. Watch for FREE at www.youtube.com/thesaintstv.

Meanwhile there are chats with Jamie Elliott and Alan Dickens in this week’s official Saints podcast. Listen for FREE at www.soundcloud.com/official-saints-rugby or by searching for ‘Northampton Saints’ on iTunes.
