Match Officials for this weekend’s Aviva Premiership Rugby

Aviva Premiership Rugby veteran referee Wayne Barnes will take charge of Round 20’s encounter between Harlequins and Exeter Chiefs at Twickenham Stoop, his 181st League match.

Chiefs are chasing a top-two finish which would secure them a home semi-final while Quins, who were beaten by Saracens at Wembley on Saturday, are searching for a fourth-place finish themselves.

Chiefs will travel to south-west London on a high after collecting maximum points with a thrilling 38-34 victory over Bristol at Sandy Park.

Meanwhile, Gloucester Rugby will be smarting after a narrow loss to Newcastle Falcons in the dying minutes of their Round 19 clash.

Tom Foley will take charge of Sale Sharks’ visit to Kingsholm as both sides go in search of their seventh wins of the season.

Conversely, Falcons will be delighted with their 16-14 win over the Cherry & Whites thanks to a late Joel Hodgson penalty, but will face a stern test at Welford Road on Sunday.

Ian Tempest will have the whistle for Falcons’ trip to Leicester Tigers and, despite defeat to Bath Rugby in The Clash, Tigers remain on course for a top-four finish.

But Leicester only edge out Bath in the semi-final spots on points difference so will be seeking a bonus-point victory against Falcons.

Bath travel to Worcester Warriors and can ramp up the pressure on Leicester, or even climb above Tigers and back into the top four, with a victory at Sixways and Luke Pearce will be the man in the middle.

Matthew Carley takes charge of Northampton Saints match with Saracens at Franklin’s Gardens as Saints look to bounce back from an agonising defeat to Wasps on Sunday.

Saracens arrive in the East Midlands after a convincing 40-19 victory over Harlequins at Wembley Stadium – a game played out in front of more than 70,000 fans.

Greg Garner controls proceedings on Sunday as Bristol Rugby play host to league-leaders Wasps as they look to avenge their defeat earlier in the season.

Bristol will hope to build on their narrow loss to Chiefs last time out in their efforts to chase down Worcester in eleventh position.
