London Welsh Team v Newport Gwent Dragons


London Welsh make eight changes, including one positional, for Sunday’s LV= Cup clash with Newport Gwent Dragons at Rodney Parade (KO 2:30pm).

The Exiles' starting XV includes eight members of its Championship winning side, with three more named on the bench.

In the backs, Will Robinson returns at full back with Elliot Kear moving to the right wing. Seb Jewell and Nic Reynolds both return from injury to start in the centres, while Piri Weepu is named at scrum half. Jewell will captain the side.

In the forwards, Nathan Morris starts at hooker, Peter Browne comes back into the side at blindside flanker, and Richard Thorpe at openside flanker.

On the bench, Rob Elloway, who joined the club this week from Cornish Pirates on loan for the remainder of the season, is set to make his debut for London Welsh.

The last time the sides met was at the Kassam Stadium in February 2013 in the LV= Cup when the Dragons came out on top 42-14 – Dragons fly half Steffan Jones contributing 27 points with Welsh's scores coming from an Ed Williamson try and three penalties from the boot of Alex Davies.
