Sale Sharks new signing Josh Charnley, fresh from winning the Grand Final with Wigan last weekend called into Carrington earlier today to meet up with his new team mates.
Josh bowed out as a Wigan Warriors player with an incredible record of having scored 165 tries in 176 games including the winning try against Warrington Wolves in the Grand Final at Old Trafford.
During his time at Wigan Josh won two Grand Finals and a Challenge Cup medal and was top try scorer in Super League in back to back seasons (2012 + 2013). In 33 appearances this season, Josh touched down 24 times.
Josh met up with Sale Sharks Ambassador and Commercial Director Mark Cueto who holds the all-time scoring record for the Premiership with 90 tries. On meeting up with Josh Mark joked, “Great to see you, are you after my record? I am sure you can do it!”
Josh will start training with his new team mates before the end of the month after taking a well-deserved holiday.
