Harlequins team to play Saracens

Harlequins has announced the squad to play Saracens in Round 1 of the LV= Cup on Sunday at Allianz Park, kick-off 13:00 (live on Sky Sports).

The starting 23 blends both youth and experience with senior and Academy squad members named throughout.

Ross Chisholm makes his first start for the club this season and is joined in the back three by Charlie Walker and Ollie Lindsay-Hague.

Karl Dickson captains the side from scrum-half, with Louis Grimoldby named at fly-half.

Seven of the starting forward pack are under 25, with Rob Buchanan, George Merrick, Sam Twomey, Joe Trayfoot and James Chisholm making their first starts of the season.

Among the replacements first year Academy members Kieran Treadwell and Henry Cheeseman are named, with Tim Swiel, who joined the club this week as injury cover for Ben Botica, looking to make his first appearance for the club.
