Darryl Marfo, Harry Allen and Ryan Glynn bolster London Welsh squad for 2015/16

London Welsh has further bolstered its squad for 2015/16 with the additions of Darryl Marfo, Harry Allen and Ryan Glynn.

A graduate of the Harlequins Academy, Marfo has made 32 appearances for Quins and featured in their Round 20 win at Sale Sharks.

The 6st 1in and 17st 8lb loosehead made his first-team debut in September 2011 against Gloucester in the Aviva Premiership, and has gone on to make a total of 13 Premiership appearances, as well as playing five matches in the Champions Cup.

In 2012/13 Marfo was an integral part of the club's 2012 Aviva A League success, crossing twice in Harlequins' victory against Saracens in the final, and featured in the club's LV= Cup final success over Sale Sharks.

Marfo began his rugby career at Battersea Ironsides RFC. He joined the Elite Player Development Group system at the age of 14.

Marfo will be joined in the London Welsh front row next season by former England U18 hooker Allen. Beginning his career in the academy at Saracens, Allen made his Premiership debut against Leicester Tigers in September 2011 and was dual-registered with Bedford Blues for the 2011/12 season.

He made the switch to the Harlequins Academy for the 2012/13 season.

After a year out of the game, Allen began 2015 at London Irish before moving to London Welsh to help aid the club's injury crisis at hooker. He made his first appearance for Welsh in the club's friendly win over Newport Gwent Dragons at Old Deer Park in March.

In total, Allen has made five Premiership appearances. He also represented England at U16.

Scrum half Glynn joins Welsh after one season at Jersey in which he helped the club to a seventh place finish in the Greene King IPA Championship – the club's highest ever finish in the English rugby pyramid.

He joined Jersey in 2014 after three years of dual registration with Moseley, while at Northampton Saints.

He came through the ranks at Sale Sharks before joining the academy at Northampton Saints in 2010. He made his Aviva Premiership debut for Saints against Gloucester Rugby in February 2011 and as well as featuring regularly for Northampton in the Aviva A League he also captained them in the 2013 JP Morgan Sevens.

The St Helens-born half-back has represented England at U16, U18 and U19.

Steve Lewis, London Welsh Director of Rugby, said: "Darryl and Harry are two highly promising young front row forwards, who have also gained top flight experience. They will both be excellent additions to our front row next season, and help to provide stiff competition at loosehead and hooker.

"Darryl is a very talented, mobile and powerful loosehead prop with an excellent work ethic. Harry is a dynamic, all-action player and both will push hard for starting places in an area that is already highly competitive.

"Ryan has all the core skills a scrum half needs. He is a particularly lively player with the ability to threaten the fringes and keep the defence honest. His regular game time at Moseley and Jersey has helped him develop as a player and given him invaluable experience. He will provide good competition for us at number nine."
