Aviva Premiership Rugby on BT Sport and ITV Sport

With just one more round of Aviva Premiership Rugby action to go before the European break, every side will be desperate to end this block of fixtures on a high note.

This weekend there are three more mouth-watering encounters in store live on BT Sport with Bath Rugby and Sale Sharks getting things started under the Rec’s Friday Night Lights.

BT Sport’s coverage once again begins at 7pm on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport 4k UHD, and a bonus-point victory for the hosts could see them move top of the Aviva Premiership Rugby standings.

Under the stewardship of Todd Blackadder Bath have lost just one match, and they have beaten Sale in three of the last four fixtures between the sides.

But Sharks have been victorious on two of their last five most recent visits to the Rec, and Steve Diamond’s free-scoring side are seeking their third straight four-try bonus point in the league for the first time since November 2002.

Saturday’s clash live from the Twickenham Stoop sees Harlequins host Northampton Saints.

Coverage begins at 2.30pm on BT Sport 1, BT Sport 4k UHD and BT Sport Showcase on Freeview channel 59 and while Harlequins have won both of their home games so far this season, Saints have been victorious in two of their last three away games.

The recent encounters between the sides have been dominated by Northampton, who have won the last seven of their encounters with Harlequins in all tournaments since the south-west Londoners 22-19 win at The Stoop in May 2013.

And another grandstand encounter awaits on Sunday, as the weekend is rounded off by a top-of-the-table clash between Saracens and Wasps – with coverage beginning at 2.30pm on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport 4k UHD.

Few would bet against either of these teams securing top-four spots again in May, but it has been unbeaten Wasps who have made the early-season statement.

Saracens have lost just one of their last 10 fixtures against Wasps in all competitions but that was a 23-64 reverse on home soil in February – the most points Saracens have ever conceded in an Aviva Premiership Rugby home game.

Mark McCall’s men will be desperate to avenge that result this weekend at Allianz Park, and after an all-star showing to shut out Bristol Rugby away from home last week they have started to hit their straps again.

Should you miss out on the action, BT Sport and ITV will once again show highlights programmes throughout the season. Catch every score from the opening two days on BT Sport 1 at 9pm on Saturday, ITV’s highlights – hosted by Mark Durden-Smith and David Flatman – will be on air on Sunday at 8pm (ITV4) and at 11.20pm (ITV), then on Monday at 11.55pm (ITV4).

And Rugby Tonight is back in its usual Wednesday evening slot at 8pm on BT Sport 1, as Ben Kay, Craig Doyle, Austin Healey and Ugo Monye review the week in rugby with a selection of Aviva Premiership Rugby guests.
