Aviva Premiership Rugby Live on TV

Bath Rugby and London Irish kick-off this weekend’s live TV action in Aviva Premiership Rugby, on Friday night. The game – with just three rounds before the semi-finals – will be on BT Sport 1 with coverage from 7.30pm.

Bath Rugby have won their last three Aviva Premiership Rugby matches, with a try bonus point in the last two. Their only defeat this season at the Recreation Ground came at the hands of reigning champions Northampton Saints on 21 February.

London Irish also have a great recent record, suffering just one defeat in their last four Aviva Premiership Rugby clashes: 20-26 to Harlequins in round 17.

Saturday’s live TV game features Aviva Premiership Rugby’s top two, Northampton Saints and Saracens live from StadiumMK with coverage from 3pm on BT Sport 1.

Northampton have played four previous matches at StadiumMK wining the first two, against Ulster and Perpignan in the European Cup in 2011 but losing the last two in 2012 against Munster in the European Cup and Saracens in Aviva Premiership Rugby. However, Saints only victory in their last five matches was 52-30 at home to Wasps in Aviva Premiership Rugby on 27 March.

Saracens have won their last four Aviva Premiership Rugby encounters but have won only twice on the road in the tournament, at Newcastle Falcons in December and last month at Wasps.

Wasps v Exeter Chiefs rounds off the weekend on Sunday live from the Ricoh Arena from 1pm on BT Sport 2.

Wasps 40-13 victory over London Welsh in Aviva Premiership Rugby on 12 April ended a three-game losing run in all tournaments, whilst their 17–26 loss to Saracens in round 17 is their only defeat so far at the Ricoh Arena in the Aviva Premiership this season.

Exeter Chiefs have roared into the top four only losing one of their last six Aviva Premiership Rugby matches – at Leicester Tigers in round 18. On current form, Chiefs are the best team in the competition having earned 23 league points from those encounters.
