Aviva Premiership Rugby Live on TV

Rugby-TV-0503

With just six rounds to go, the live Aviva Premiership Rugby TV action starts at the Rec this weekend as Sale Sharks make the trip down south to take on Bath Rugby. BT Sport 2 will feature coverage of the game from 7pm on Friday night.

Bath Rugby have slipped to three straight Aviva Premiership Rugby defeats and dropped from second to fifth in the table but have only suffered one home defeat, against Northampton Saints in round 15.

Bath’s last Aviva Premiership Rugby game at Sale Sharks ended with an away victory for them (20 – 29) in round one but they have not achieved a season double over Sale since 2010-11. Sharks have won on two of their last three visits to the Recreation Ground.

Wayne Barnes will be officiating the game and will become only the third referee to take charge of 150 Premiership Rugby matches after Chris White (190) and Dave Pearson (171).

Saturday’s live TV rugby comes from Kingsholm as Gloucester Rugby host the Aviva Premiership Rugby Champions, Northampton Saints.  The game will be on BT Sport 1 from 3pm.

Northampton have won their last two encounters with Gloucester in Aviva Premiership Rugby, but both of those games were played at Franklin’s Gardens. Saints only win in their last four visits to Kingsholm in the tournament was 24-19 in the opening round of the 2012-13 season.

Saracens make their first trip to the Ricoh on Sunday and their top four clash against Wasps will be shown on BT Sport 2 from 1pm.

Wasps are the only team in the Aviva Premiership to have won all eight of their home games this season. Their four games in the competition at the Ricoh Arena have all achieved maximum point wins scoring 18 tries and conceding just four.

Saracens last five games in Aviva Premiership Rugby have all been won by the away side on the day, while Saracens only victory on the road in their last six trips in the tournament was 25-23 at Newcastle Falcons in round 11.
