Aviva Premiership Rugby live on BT Sport, and on ITV Sport this weekend

After a thrilling weekend of late tries, high scores and massive crowds, Aviva Premiership Rugby is now on the countdown towards the end of the season as the stakes rise at both ends of the table.

And this weekend, you can enjoy a trio of vital matches as teams attempt to book a top four place or boost their Aviva Premiership Rugby positions.

This week’s action gets underway on Friday night, as high-flying Exeter Chiefs visit Harlequins – live on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport 4k UHD from 7pm.

Chiefs beat Bristol Rugby in a 38-34 classic last weekend, with Thomas Waldrom again making the difference with two tries.

But they face a stern test this weekend against a Harlequins side hell-bent on getting back on track after their 40-19 Derby Day defeat to Saracens at Wembley Stadium last weekend.

Harlequins boast one of the best home records in the division, and the last time they were at the Stoop they comfortably saw off Newcastle Falcons 53-17.

Falcons responded to that loss with a tight 16-14 win against Gloucester Rugby last weekend, and they will hope to avoid another away defeat when they visit Leicester Tigers on Saturday.

The Tigers will be keen to get back on track following their 27-21 defeat to rivals Bath Rugby in ‘The Clash’ last weekend – as Anthony Watson struck twice to ensure Bath claimed a famous win at Twickenham, in front of 61,868 passionate fans.

Leicester and Bath are level on points in the Aviva Premiership Rugby table as they continue to scrap over the last semi-final spot.

Harlequins and Northampton Saints are five points behind but Bath and Leicester remain in the driving seat, making the Tigers’ clash with Newcastle pivotal to their hopes.

BT Sport 3’s coverage starts at 2.30pm, with kick-off half an hour later.

If Leicester stumble, then Northampton will be extra motivated to beat Saracens this weekend – knowing a win would catapult them straight back into the reckoning for a top four finish.

Saints were excellent against Wasps, but fell to an agonising 32-30 defeat at the Ricoh Arena.

This weekend, they will look to put things right against the in-form defending champions – who looked at their brilliant best against Harlequins at Wembley.

Sunday’s clash kicks off at 3pm, while coverage begins half an hour earlier on BT Sport 1.

Elsewhere this weekend, Worcester Warriors host Bath Rugby in an intriguing game at both the top and bottom of the table, Gloucester host Sale Sharks and Bristol Rugby host Wasps.

If you miss any of the action, don’t fear as highlights are on ITV4 and ITV across Sunday and Tuesday, before Rugby Tonight Extra returns on Wednesday.
