Aviva Premiership Rugby Live on BT Sport and ITV Sport

As Aviva Premiership Rugby heads into Round 4 there are three big games which will be in front of the live BT Sport cameras this weekend.

From a West Country derby with some ancient history to one of the most iconic fixtures in the domestic calendar, via a battle between two former Premiership Rugby champions, there is plenty to savour this weekend.

It all kicks off under the Friday Night Lights where Bristol Rugby host a game they have been waiting for since 2010.

In their first season back in the Championship, Bristol faced Exeter Chiefs in a promotion play-off, but after a narrow loss at Sandy Park, went down 29-10 in the return fixture leading to Chiefs’ rise to Premiership Rugby.

Bristol will have the chance to put that right this Friday at Ashton Gate, with the BT Sport 1 and BT Sport 4k UHD cameras in place from 7pm.

Bristol face last year’s Aviva Premiership Rugby Finalists searching for a first win, and looking to bounce back from last week’s 70-22 loss to Wasps.

Exeter also made a slow start but got their season up and running with victory over Harlequins including a Luke Cowan-Dickie hat-trick last weekend.

On Saturday attention turns to the east Midlands and a rather newer rivalry as Northampton Saints entertain Wasps.

Now located just over 30 miles apart, Saints come into the game desperate to make up for the last 20 minutes of their loss to Saracens a week ago.

Very much in contention for much of the game at Allianz Park, indiscipline cost them as the champions scored two converted tries to claim a 27-12 win.

Wasps, meanwhile, arrive fresh from their aforementioned win over Bristol and are sitting pretty with three wins from three to date.

The programme begins at 2.30pm, with kick-off half an hour later on BT Sport 3, BT Sport Extra (red button) & BT Sport 4k UHD.

On Sunday make sure you tune into one of the biggest games in English rugby as Welford Road plays host to Leicester Tigers’ clash with Bath Rugby.

Coverage on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport 4k UHD starts at 2.30pm.

The visitors have made a great start to life under Todd Blackadder, with three wins from three, while Leicester picked up a second win thanks to their narrow victory over Newcastle Falcons last time out.

With Leicester having won this fixture last season, Bath will be keen to take revenge.

All of these games as well as Gloucester Rugby v Newcastle Falcons, Harlequins v Saracens and Worcester Warriors v Sale Sharks will be dissected in extensive highlights coverage across the weekend.

Catch up with the first two days of action at 9pm on Saturday on BT Sport 1, while Mark Durden-Smith and David Flatman will break down the entire weekend on Sunday at 8pm on ITV4 and again on ITV at 11.20pm.

And don’t fear if you’ve been completely out of the loop over the weekend – there will be another chance to absorb all of Round 4’s highlights at 12.35am on Tuesday on ITV4.

Your regular mid-week fix of Aviva Premiership Rugby will be Rugby Tonight Extra at 10pm on Wednesday on BT Sport 1.
