Aviva Premiership Rugby clubs live on TV

This weekend sees a mixture of Aviva Premiership Rugby and European Rugby Champions Cup action live on BT Sport.

On Saturday, the coverage kicks off with one of club rugby’s biggest fixtures, the Leicester Tigers v Northampton Saints derby live on BT Sport 1 from 2.30pm, kick-off 3.15pm.

The game is also free for everyone to view on BT Sport Showcase at the same time. BT Sport's Showcase channel is available on Freeview on channel 59. UK viewers can also watch the game online at, Sky and Virgin Media.

Honours were even in 2014-15 as each club won its respective home game when they clashed in Aviva Premiership Rugby, and this time a place in the semi-final spots is at stake with Tigers lying fourth in the table just four points ahead of Saints. Saints will however have to overturn a long run of defeats in Leicester as they have not been victorious at Welford Road in any competition since a 10-9 win in Aviva Premiership Rugby in February 2007.

Sunday sees one Aviva Premiership Rugby game followed by the rescheduled European Rugby Champions Cup game between Toulon and Bath Rugby.

Coverage of London Irish v Newcastle Falcons starts at 12.45pm on BT Sport 1. Newcastle Falcons and London Irish – who lie 11th and 12th – have exchanged places at the bottom of the Aviva Premiership Rugby table for the last two rounds but Falcons currently have a slim two-point advantage over the Exiles.

London Irish have won their last three games against Falcons in Aviva Premiership Rugby since Newcastle won 13-11 at Kingston Park on 27 October 2013.

The rescheduled Toulon v Bath Rugby European Rugby Champions Cup game rounds off the weekend with coverage on BT Sport Europe from 3pm.

With eight points and two wins apiece so far in this year’s competition, the winner of this game will cement their place in the runner-up position in Pool 5 behind Wasps who currently top the pool with 14 points.
