Harlequins can announce today (Thursday 3rd November) that Alofa Alofa has signed a contract extension with the London club.

Announcing the news John Kingston, Harlequins Director of Rugby, said: “Alofa has impressed me hugely in both his attitude towards his necessary rehabilitation in the summer and now his day to day training and playing standards.

“He is a fabulous talent and I have made the swift decision to extend his original one-year contract.

I am delighted he has committed his long-term future to Harlequins.”

This news comes as Harlequins is preparing for its opening match of the Anglo-Welsh Cup against Exeter Chiefs on Saturday, the final of which will be hosted at The Stoop on Sunday 19th March.

The three-time capped Samoan centre has made seven appearances for Harlequins since making his debut during the victory over Bristol Rugby at the London Double Header.

Commenting on the news Alofa added: “I am honoured to have extended my time with Harlequins. Since joining in the summer, my family and I have settled in well. There is a great buzz around training and I’m excited to be able to play my part for the next few years.”
