Will Homer and Max Clark promoted to Bath Rugby senior squad

Bath Rugby’s Max Clark and Will Homer have been promoted from the Academy to the senior squad for the 2016/17 season, the Club are pleased to announce.

The duo entered the Senior Academy set-up in the 2014/15 season, joining from two rival Dorset schools – Homer from Sherborne and Clark from Bryanston.

Homer’s debut came in memorable fashion in an LV= Cup match against an experienced Harlequins side in February 2015, during which he kicked 10 points to help his team claim a narrow win at the Stoop. Clark, meanwhile, has enjoyed an extended and successful run in Bath’s starting midfield this summer – most recently in the Club’s Round 1 Aviva Premiership victory against Northampton Saints at Franklin’s Gardens.

“They’re two very impressive young men who’ve come up through the Bath Rugby Academy pathway,” said Director of Rugby Todd Blackadder. “It’s testament to the system we’ve got in place here that they’re able to slot in seamlessly in our first team alongside some very experienced international players. It’s the sort of progress we want to build on here at Bath.”
