The £113 million Ricoh Arena is hosting the tie between Gloucester Rugby and the Ospreys (kick-off 2.30pm) and Cardiff Blues' encounter with Northampton Saints (5.15pm start) on Saturday, March 28, and the Saints' star was in town as part of the build up to the big day, staging a tag rugby session on the pitch.

Year five and six pupils from Brookhurst Primary School in Ullswater Avenue, Leamington; Our Lady & St Teresa's Catholic Primary School in Windmill Hill, Cubbington; and Green Oaks Primary School in Bective Road, Northampton took part in a tag rugby session before asking Stephen questions in the Ricoh's media suite in a pupil press conference.

The training day was part of the EDF Energy National Schools Rugby Programme, one of the most comprehensive rugby programmes in the world, and held by Premier Rugby and Northampton Saints Community Development team.

The enthusiasm amongst the youngsters yesterday really showed the benefits of the EDF Energy National Schools Rugby Programme. The day was part of the EDF Energy National Schools Rugby Programme. One of the most comprehensive rugby programmes in the world, it will have introduced 112,000 8-10 year olds to the sport through tag rugby by July 2009. EDF Energy, Premier Rugby's Community Partner, also supplies equipment, including tag belts and balls, so schools can carry on playing the sport for years to come.

Premier Rugby's Community Manager Wayne Morris added: "The EDF Energy National Schools Rugby programme has been a tremendous success. The programme enables us to cater for everyone, by using rugby to get children to take part in physical activity as well as introducing those more interested in the sport to the skills needed to play and enjoy rugby."
