Following on from Premiership Rugby's support of Sport Relief in 2012. In 2013, Premiership Rugby will be supporting Comic Relief's Red Nose Day Campaign at Premiership Rugby matches around the country.
London Irish got the ball rolling raffling a signed ball, with the London Irish players warming up in the Stella McCartney designed Red Nose Day T-shirts. They were closely followed by Harlequins giving their fans the chance to win one of six match balls from the 2012 Aviva Premiership Rugby Final signed by Chris Robshaw, and Worcester Warriors, Bath Rugby and Sale Sharks raffled signed shirts at their Red Nose Day matches. London Welsh donated £1 from every ticket sold for the club's clash with Sale Sharks to Red Nose Day.
There was Red Nose Day activity at Gloucester Rugby, Sale Sharks, Exeter Chiefs, Northampton Saints and Leicester Tigers with the officials all wearing special Red Nose Day shirts. Northampton Saints gave fans the chance to make a donation to soak Saints' players in a cut out scrum with wet sponges, and to guess the number of balloons in the car to win a signed shirt. The Rock Choir also gave a rousing Red Nose Day performance.
This weekend will see the Rock Choir at Worcester Warriors on Friday and a raffle for a signed shirt at Saracens on Sunday.
