Match Officials for this weekend’s Aviva Premiership Rugby

All eyes this weekend will be on the second Aviva Premiership Rugby match to be held in America when Newcastle Falcons take on Saracens, and JP Doyle is the official taking charge of the historic clash.

The last time two sides faced off across the pond it was Luke Pearce who was the man in the middle, and that mantle now falls to the experienced Doyle at the Talen Energy Stadium in Philadelphia.

The 38-year-old will be taking charge of his 135th Premiership Rugby clash and will have Paul Burton and Dean Richards as his assistants, with David Sainsbury as TMO and Andy Blyth as citing officer.

Andrew Jackson will be take charge of his seventh top-flight game in front of the television cameras as Wasps take on Harlequins.

Greg Garner was the referee the last time these two faced off at the Ricoh Arena when Wasps scored seven tries in a thumping 47-18 victory over Quins.

Elsewhere, the experienced Wayne Barnes with take charge of his 187th Premiership Rugby fixture when Sale Sharks face newly-promoted London Irish at the AJ Bell Stadium.

Thomas Foley is the man in the middle at Franklin’s Gardens where Northampton Saints entertain Bath Rugby off the back of their impressive 24-11 victory over Leicester Tigers.

And Worcester Warriors take on Exeter Chiefs with Ian Tempest casting his eye over proceedings and Craig Maxwell-Keys will referee Leicester Tigers’ match against Gloucester at Welford Road.
