Channel 5 debut for Aviva Premiership Rugby
After three long months, Aviva Premiership Rugby finally returns this weekend and you will not miss a beat – with four games live on TV, including the London Double Header and all the highlights on Channel 5 at 8pm.
Saturday’s afternoon sees four teams head to Twickenham for one of the biggest days of the season, and if you don’t have a ticket then you’d be mad not to find a TV and catch the action.
It all starts at 2pm as two-time defending European Rugby Champions Cup winners Saracens kick off against Northampton Saints, before London Irish make their highly-anticipated return to the top flight against Harlequins.

Saracens’ relinquished their Aviva Premiership Rugby crown to Exeter Chiefs last season and are on a mission to take it back.
History is also on their side; they have won on their last five visits to Twickenham, although the Saints were the last team to beat them in the 2014 final.
In contrast, London Irish have lost on their last seven trips to Twickenham and face a Harlequins side that has won 11 of their last 12 match-ups.
You can catch all the action from 1.30pm on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport 4K UHD, with Saracens v Northampton Saints kicking off at 2pm, followed by London Irish v Harlequins at 4.45pm.
But before all that, you can catch the Aviva Premiership Rugby champions live on the opening day of the season on Friday night.
Exeter Chiefs’ remarkable victory in last year’s final against Wasps will live long in the memory, but Rob Baxter has already moved on and wants his side to start with a bang at Gloucester Rugby on Friday.
BT Sport 1 and BT Sport 4K UHD is the place to be from 7pm, with the match getting underway at 7.45pm.
And rounding out the weekend is another thriller on Sunday, as old rivals Leicester Tigers and Bath Rugby meet at Welford Road.

The clubs have done plenty of business together this summer, exchanging fly-halves George Ford and Freddie Burns. Both could make their debuts, with Ford set to wear the Tigers jersey for the first time since leaving for Bath in 2013.
BT Sport 1 and BT Sport 4K UHD has all the action on Sunday from 2.30pm, with the match kicking off at 3pm.
Don’t forget, if you miss any of the rugby this weekend, then Channel 5 has all the highlights on Sunday night from 8pm, presented by David Flatman and Mark Durden-Smith.
